I think this quote means that we need to have good characteristics to choose the right.People with good characteristics are people who always choose the right.They do the right thing all the time.Self respect is a good charcteristic.You treat others the way you want to be treated.This makes people help one another and they are sometimes rewarded for helping them.Integrity is very important because you Do what is right even in tough situations.For example, a kid wants to fight you and you don’t.You do what is right and walk away or report it.Internal Phenomenon is the reward to doing the right thing.
