I think that this quote means that you have to be good in life.That our life is like football.A football goes through a goalpost.Just like our goals in life.We have to believe that we can achieve our goals.We might not but we'll still try.We have to work hard in order to achieve them.We  have to reach a goal by doing whats right.You can't achieve a goal by not trying.You have to be a ctr person and know that you can reach your goal.
